Greetings from Las Vegas. Things are heating up around here, and not just because it's summertime in the Mojave Desert. I've been working on lots of exciting projects, and have more good things on the horizon.
In June, I returned from some time abroad. I spent 2 months in Jeddah Saudi Arabia as the bandleader of a new Cirque du Soleil show called FUZION, which was tremendously fun. What an outstanding show! Truly. And, I had the pleasure of working with one of the very best teams that I've ever seen, including a killer band, and wildly talented and inspired Creative, Production, Audio teams. Quite a luxury to have such a huge array of talent working toward the same end goal.
Now I'm back in Vegas, with a full calendar of performances. I'm currently the bass player at Zombie Burlesque at Planet Hollywood, and an on-call bass player at Rat Pack and Vegas The Show (which we expect to re-open soon). I have a busy schedule with my bands Red Penny Arcade and Dixie Flats, and work on countless corporate events and in venues around town with a variety of bands, musicians, etc.
I'm also doing quite a bit of music contracting for events, for agencies in Vegas, and around the country. That work is great fun for me, whether I'm performing myself, or creating opportunities for other musicians. After so many years of working around the world as a performer, my talent network is vast, and it's always fun being able to call them in for exciting projects.
